About the album

My journey with this album began during a challenging period, but it turned out to be an incredible experience. While I was in the hospital for heart surgery, I started listening to Beethoven’s Pathétique Sonata, performed by Barenboim. It lifted my spirits and sparked a thought – wouldn’t it be wonderful to spread happiness through music? That’s when I began dreaming of becoming a concert pianist. After my recovery, I devoted more time to playing the piano and was accepted into the Young Musician Academy in Tilburg. During the Bunschoten Younger Talent Award ceremony, someone asked about my dreams. I mentioned wanting to release my own album, never expecting it to happen so quickly.

A jury member and the artists & repertoire manager at TRPTK, Maya Fridman, invited me to their studio in Utrecht. Just a week later, I signed my first album deal. “Luminescence” embodies my dream, passion, and love for music. The title symbolizes the light and joy that music brings into my life. I selected pieces that hold deep meaning for me, hoping listeners will feel the same connection and discover their own light through the music.

"Dutch piano talent Liam Nassereddine is only 13 and is already releasing his debut album. Luminescence contains a sampling of romantic keyboard music and displays bravura and storytelling skills. The final touch is Black earth by Fazil Say, which growth brilliant Nassereddine also played last year in the Concertgebouw Competition he won."
