Biography
Rebal Korkmaz specializes in Syrian percussion/darbouka, riq, and frame drum and has been teaching percussion since 2018. In the Netherlands, he studies World Music at Codarts in Rotterdam, where he immerses himself in Ottoman music, among other things. He also performs on stage himself and has played at the Grachtenfestival, Theater Zuidplein, and TivoliVredenburg, among other venues. Rebal teaches darbouka/darbuka lessons at Aslan Music Center.
